As most people who know us well know, Dwayne's dad, Mr. Richie, was diagnosed with stomach cancer in April 2007. On March 3, 2008, after a long & brave fight, he lost his battle to cancer. He taught me so many things in the very short time that I knew him, most of which he taught me through his fight with cancer. It is hard to imagine that Emily and my other future children will never get to know what an incredible human being, husband, dad, grandfather and father in law he was. I guess that is what our memories are for...to help them know who he was and what kind of person he was.
